Italian musician, producer, and singer-songwriter Tulegon presents his concept album “Pessoa.”A deeply personal and artistic project inspired by one of his favourite poets, Fernando Pessoa. The album stands as a journey through identity, language, and the fragmentation of the self, blending literature and music into a rich, emotional experience.
Born and raised in Puglia, Tulegon spent several years in Rome, then a brief period in the United States, before settling in Milan in 2010, where he continues to develop his artistic vision. These different places and cultural experiences have strongly influenced his sound and storytelling.
“Pessoa” is a multilingual album, with songs written and performed in Italian, Portuguese, English, French, and the dialect of Ostuni, Tulegon’s hometown in Puglia. This choice reflects the spirit of Fernando Pessoa himself, who was bilingual and wrote, studied, and even thought in English, while creating multiple literary identities known as heteronyms.

Musically, the album blends electropop, synthpop, trip hop, alternative R&B, and other styles, with textures inspired by fado and Mediterranean music. The result is a sound that feels modern and electronic, yet deeply emotional and rooted in tradition.
“The album ‘Pessoa’ is a journey through the fragmentation of the self,” explains Tulegon. “This concept album is a subtle homage to the world of heteronyms and the complexity of the human soul. Each track is a piece of a mosaic that tries to answer one question: who are we when we’re alone with our thoughts?”
One of the key songs on the album is the English version of “Tutti i sogni del mondo.” The title and theme come directly from one of Fernando Pessoa’s most famous quotes, written under his heteronym Álvaro de Campos in the poem “Tabaccheria”:
“I am nothing. I will never be anything. I can’t want to be anything. Apart from that, I have all the dreams of the world within me.”
The song explores this powerful contradiction: the feeling of being insignificant, while at the same time carrying endless dreams, desires, and imagination inside. It reflects the tension between nothingness and infinity, doubt and ambition, emptiness and creativity.
Throughout “Pessoa,” Tulegon turns poetry into sound and philosophy into emotion. Each track represents a different inner voice, a different state of mind, and a different way of seeing oneself. Rather than offering simple answers, the album invites listeners to reflect on their own identity, contradictions, and hidden thoughts.
With “Pessoa,” Tulegon delivers more than just an album. He offers a thoughtful artistic experience that blends music, literature, and self-exploration, creating a space where listeners can confront the many versions of who they are.
