Bhy2r Returns With “Want To Be Loved” Featuring Dean Fraser

Following the success of his EP Mek Me Gwaan, released in May 2024, French-Caribbean artist Bhy2r returns with a powerful new single, Want To Be Loved, the fourth release from the project. The track features legendary Jamaican saxophonist Dean Fraser, bringing together two distinct musical worlds in one seamless collaboration.

Want To Be Loved serves as a bridge between Martinique and Jamaica, blending cultural influence and musical heritage into a single, emotionally rich record. It also offers a preview of Bhy2r’s upcoming live project, Lion’s Love, signaling a new phase in his artistic journey.

Known for crafting what he calls a “Franco-Caribbean vibe,” Bhy2r merges dancehall, zouk, and bouyon with elements of soul and contemporary R&B. On this track, his warm and expressive vocals glide over a smooth, groove-driven production, complemented by Dean Fraser’s iconic sound — a presence shaped by collaborations with artists such as Dennis Brown, Buju Banton, and Sizzla.

The result is a sensual, timeless record that balances rhythm with emotion, creating a sound that connects across borders and genres.

Want To Be Loved is available now on all major streaming platforms.
