Apple Music has released its latest Isgubhu DJ Mix, featuring an exclusive mix from Cornelius SA, available exclusively on Apple Music from Friday, 3 April 2026.
Isgubhu continues to serve as Apple Music’s home for African dance music culture, spotlighting the producers, DJs and underground innovators shaping the continent’s club scenes. Each month, Isgubhu highlights the boundary-pushing sounds redefining Afrohouse, 3-step, gqom and electronic music across Africa.
Emerging from South Africa’s vibrant dance music landscape, Cornelius SA has built a reputation as a DJ and curator deeply rooted in the ethos of “music first.” Known for prioritising sonic quality over name recognition, his sets reflect a careful balance between established producers and rising talent, positioning him as a tastemaker attuned to the evolving Afrohouse and electronic scene.
Speaking on the mix, Cornelius SA tells Apple Music, “The first track is my most recent and first release of 2026, ‘Tropical Island’ featuring Gee Skillz. I felt it would be great to have it introduce this mix, followed by brand new tracks I really like from emerging artists. For me, the music always comes first. If it’s good enough, I can play it on every mix and set to help get it out there.” Describing the overall energy, he adds, “Stronergetic — strong and energetic altogether.”
