Apple Music Announces 95ANTNY As The Latest Up Next Artist In Ghana

Apple Music today announces Ghanaian alternative artist and producer 95ANTNY as the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development programme in Ghana.

As one of Ghana’s most distinctive voices in alternative and experimental music, 95ANYNY has carved out a niche with his genre-defying sound that moves between Chill Afro-fusion, R&B/Soul and Alté. As a recording artist who also works as a producer, he brings a versatile approach to his music, with a voice that lends a lived-in quality to his relatable sonic narratives.

“Experiencing evolution is a big part of being an artist and through it, I’ve come to recognize my own growth. But that growth doesn’t happen in isolation; people and platforms are watching too as your name starts coming up in rooms you’re not even in, because others are seeing you show up and invest in yourself to be able to share this gift of music,” 95ANTNY tells Apple Music. “So, it’s a true pleasure to have my music be recognized, and appreciated. Thank you to Apple Music Africa.”

Since debuting with “5STAR” in 2021, 95ANTNY has continued to explore the boundary-less possibilities of African alternative music. Now, he enters a new chapter with his second EP, IN-HINDSIGHT, released via Handwritten Records. The six-year project brings together previous releases including “SLiDE,” “CAN’T IGNORE” and “BROWN EYES” featuring Vawltaire, alongside new tracks including “DEEP SH*T” featuring Azekel. The project draws together experiences, relationships and personal exploration, revisiting songs from earlier stages of his career and reworking them through the perspective of his present growth.

“This EP has come together over a period of six years. As time has gone by, I have always revisited them and reworked them to fit my current growth,” 95ANTNY says. “IN-HINDSIGHT is a collage of all these experiences: how they felt, how they became songs that serve as a portal to experience them again. I understand and appreciate them for what they were, with no regrets but just recognition of their imprints.”

As the latest Up Next act to be spotlighted in Ghana, 95ANTNY will be featured on Apple Music’s Up Next playlist https://apple.co/3eITdJd. The curated Up Next playlist features a dynamic class of new and emerging artists, thoughtfully hand-picked by Apple Music editors from around the world.
