The collaboration reflects Savannah Sonics’ broader vision of refining Northern Ghanaian Hip-Hop and Afro fusion without losing its cultural identity. Through Dagbani, Northern storytelling, African rhythms, Hip-Hop and contemporary Afro fusion, the artists create a sound rooted in the North but designed to connect with audiences worldwide.
‘Internet’ also speaks to the reality of a generation growing up online where social media can create opportunities, connection and exposure, while also bringing pressure, misinformation, comparison and addiction.
Rather than copying established music markets, Savannah Sonics is developing a distinctive Savannah sound: Northern Ghanaian in identity, but global in ambition.
From Tamale to the world, ‘Internet’ is another step toward putting Northern Ghana’s stories, sounds and artists on the global map.
