Red-hot British Cypriot artist A!MS is rewriting the rules with his groundbreaking new album Peak Season, out August 1st. Featuring global stars Julian Marley, ArrDee, Ramz, and more, the 9-track project introduces a new genre he calls “Global Street” — a fearless fusion of hip hop, UK garage, and Mediterranean influences.
Built from his Cypriot, Lebanese, and Italian roots, Peak Season channels the raw energy of pirate radio while celebrating the global identity of modern creators. A!MS describes Global Street (or Street Global, as he puts it) as “a genre for the outsiders — built for the creators of today: influencers, streamers, sneaker collectors, and anyone who refuses to fit into boxes.”
The album’s production lineup is equally world-class, featuring Cool & Dre, Antaeus, Michelin Shin, Golden, and more. Standout tracks include “Light & Love” featuring Julian Marley, Antaeus, and Hypertone, which delivers a soulful message of unity, and “Need Somebody” with UK hitmaker ArrDee, blending irresistible Afrobeat vibes with street-ready flair.
Recorded entirely in Cyprus, A!MS calls it his creative sanctuary, “a music industry desert” where he found freedom to experiment without distractions. “Cyprus was my Jamaica — a space where I could create something pure, something that truly represents me,” he says.
