Ari Releases Les Regrets: A Soulful, Melancholic Journey Through Sound

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Belgian DJ and producer Ari returns with Les Regrets, a powerful new single that captures the emotional depth and sonic maturity of an artist who has spent over two decades crafting his sound. Rooted in House and Tech-House influences, the track blends intricate instrumentation, emotive vocals, and masterful production, offering a listening experience that’s both vibrant and vulnerable.

Les Regrets is a moment of contemplation wrapped in energy and groove. Ari’s careful layering of sounds allows each element to shine, with stripped-back sections offering space to appreciate the richness of the instrumentation. Instrumental solos punctuate the mix with flair, while the vocals glide over the beat with both confidence and emotional clarity, perfectly capturing the bittersweet tone of the title.

Ari’s musical story began in 2001, spinning Hip-Hop, Break, 2-Step, and UK Garage in local streetwear shops before hitting the bar and club scenes of Mons. By 2003, he was performing at Hip-Hop parties, steadily building a reputation for eclectic taste and dynamic sets. Between 2005 and 2008, his passion took him across Europe, playing in France, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, and Germany.

But in 2008, life took a dramatic turn. While serving in Afghanistan on a mission with the Ministry of Defense, Ari learned of his father’s passing. That profound loss became a catalyst. Returning to Belgium, he organized a series of charity events, channeling grief into community and healing.

In 2010, Mons welcomed the Lotto Mons Club, where Ari curated genre-defying nights through his “Get Mad” series, followed by the launch of “THC” — a platform spotlighting Techno, Deep, and House music. Eventually, Ari stepped back from event organizing to fully focus on music production, creating under the alias “Ari” since 2011.

With Les Regrets, Ari refines a soundscape shaped by introspection, emotion, and authenticity. Tapping into his House and Afro-influenced palette, the track is tinged with the melancholy that has become a signature of his recent work.

Now fully committed to his craft, Ari has spent the past year polishing tracks and sharing his vision with the world. Les Regrets marks a new chapter — one driven not by hype, but by heartfelt storytelling through sound.
