Born Great Adamatie in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, Great Adamz’s journey began amid a rich musical heritage. Embracing his Nigerian roots while establishing himself in the UK music scene, he blends authentic Afrobeat sounds with his vocal style. Known for his dynamic performances and unique sound, Adamz has earned accolades such as the Golden Star Award in 2021 and a place in the MOBO Award Unsung Class of 2022.
After signing with Radikal Records in early 2024, Great Adamz released the summer anthem “Talk To Me,” which enjoyed international airplay and critical praise. He followed this with “Kilon So,” a standout collaboration featuring Nigerian rap legend Erigga and emerging artist Crae Wolf. This single broke into Spotify’s Viral Songs Nigeria Chart and has amassed over one million streams. The year 2024 was a breakthrough year for Adamz, marked by three No. 1 hits on the iTunes Nigeria Charts and an Artist of the Year (Diaspora) win at the East African Entertainment Awards. His last five singles have consecutively charted in the Top 10 of Music Week’s Urban Club Charts, with his track “Gimme Whyne” currently at number 4. Additionally, Adamz was honoured as Afrobeats/Afro Pop/Dancehall Artist of the Year at The Northamptonshire Local Music Awards for the second year running, building on wins from 2023 and 2022.
