In a celebration of hip hop’s global power, American emcee Jahan Nostra and Italian producer Samir unveil their striking new single and video, “Milan Flow” — a bold, cross-cultural anthem that merges gritty East Coast lyricism with rich European ambiance. Shot on location in Milan by Daniele Reccia of Nida Films, the visual is a vibrant showcase of the city’s urban pulse and hip hop’s borderless spirit.
“Milan Flow” is the first single from the duo’s forthcoming EP, Two Continents, a collaborative project born from their chance meeting while performing on the same stage during a 50 Years of Hip Hop show in Milan in 2023. Since then, Jahan and Samir have cultivated a natural chemistry, rooted in a mutual love for raw storytelling and classic hip hop energy.
Jahan’s performance on the track is nothing short of masterful — his cadence is fluid, his diction sharp, and his lyrical execution is layered with creativity. Samir’s production, a seamless fusion of classic boom bap and contemporary sonics, provides the perfect canvas for Jahan’s flow to shine.
The video itself captures the heart of Milan, with scenes filmed at the Duomo Di Milano, rooftop shots over the city’s skyline, and inside the studio of producer BrianSpin. Also featured is Italy’s own Free Steps Crew, a breakdancing group Jahan first discovered on Instagram, who later joined him live on stage in Milan. Their inclusion is a nod to the genre’s roots and global impact, giving the project both authenticity and international reach.
Jahan Nostra brings to the table a decorated career, with performances across the U.S., Canada, and Europe and collaborations with legends like Smif-N-Wessun and Masta Ace. His accolades include Best Music Video at the Hip Hop Film Festival in Harlem and Best Male Artist at Atlanta’s Urban Mediamakers Festival. On the boards, Samir — a respected Milan-based producer and emcee — has toured across Italy and collaborated with artists like REKS, M1 of Dead Prez, and Afu Ra. While known for his rhymes, Samir stays behind the scenes on “Milan Flow,” allowing his production to speak volumes.
With “Milan Flow,” Jahan Nostra and Samir aren’t just making music — they’re building bridges. The single sets the tone for Two Continents, a project focused on unity, lyricism, and cultural connection.
