Apple Music today announced visionary Ghanaian talent Jubed as the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development program in Ghana.

“Being part of Apple’s Up Next means the world to me—it’s more than recognition, it’s a signal that the sound I’ve been building in my corner of the world is ready to echo globally,” he tells Apple Music.

Born in Kumasi, Ghana, real name Jubed Kyei Baffour, Jubed is an artist who does not shy away from raw, soulful emotion.

He is influenced by a diverse array of artists, including Burna Boy, Davido, Kidi, Fela Kuti, Usher, Rema, SZA, and TEMS, drawing from both contemporary and cultural spheres worldwide. He marries tradition with modern melody, and the result is exhilarating.
