Michellar is excited to announce the release of their latest original single, “LET’S MOVE AROUND.” This energetic new song brings a modern and uplifting sound to the music scene, just in time for spring. Michellar’s unique style and heartfelt songwriting shine through in this release, which was created in collaboration with Romanian producer Marius Alexandru.
The journey of “LET’S MOVE AROUND” began in San Francisco, where Michellar wrote both the music and lyrics. Inspired by the positive vibes and catchy melodies of Ed Sheeran, Michellar aimed to create a song that would capture the feeling of reawakening that comes with spring. Once the song was written, Michellar handed it over to Marius Alexandru, an experienced producer based in Romania. Marius crafted the instrumentals, drawing on Michellar’s references to Ed Sheeran’s music. Together, they decided to increase the tempo and simplify the chord progressions, giving the song a fresh, modern sound perfect for the season.
“LET’S MOVE AROUND” is all about celebrating new beginnings and the joy that comes with the arrival of spring. The song’s upbeat tempo, chill melody, and engaging lyrics invite listeners to embrace the feeling of paradise, whether that means a spring vacation, a peaceful garden retreat, or starting a new adventure. Michellar explains, “Spring is a time of reawakening from a long winter slumber, so I wanted to create a song that reflected that awakening. I hope the lyrics and melody will get listeners to sing along about finding their own paradise.”
The recording process for “LET’S MOVE AROUND” was a true cross-continental effort. Michellar recorded the song in a home studio in San Francisco using a simple setup, blending digital manipulation with real instrument recordings. The tracks were then sent to Romania, where Marius Alexandru expertly produced and mixed the song in a professional studio. The result is a polished, radio-ready single with an infectious beat and uplifting lyrics that promise to brighten even the grayest of days.
Michellar’s musical journey has been nothing short of remarkable. In just 10 months, Michellar has released 25 original songs, each one reflecting personal stories and experiences. Michellar regularly performs at The Riptide and Sea Level Studios in San Francisco, taking part in open mic sessions every month.
Michellar’s creative journey is far from over. In July, fans can look forward to a new EP with a Latin influence, titled “Mi Alma Latina” (“My Spanish Soul”). Drawing from Spanish heritage, Michellar is excited to honour their roots by writing from the heart and soul.
