Congolese-Canadian artist Naxx Bitota unveils “Furah Yetu,” a vibrant Swahili-language single. Infused with rich African rhythms and her signature fusion of Afropop and Mutuashi, the track is an uplifting celebration of togetherness, personal freedom, and cultural pride.

Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and now based in Quebec, Naxx Bitota has spent years shaping a unique musical identity that bridges continents. From early beginnings in classical and gospel choirs to performing across the globe, her music radiates authenticity, energy, and intention.

“Furah Yetu” (translated as Our Joy) is a perfect reflection of Bitota’s journey and spirit. Her vocals soar over rhythmic instrumentation that pulls listeners into a dance of optimism and shared humanity. The track is as catchy as it is meaningful—rooted in tradition yet undeniably contemporary.

The song appears on her sophomore album 64, a deeply personal project that explores themes of womanhood, migration, sustainability, and global citizenship. It follows the acclaimed success of her debut album Kuetu, which brought her to celebrated stages such as Sauti Za Busara (Tanzania), Folk Alliance International (USA), Festival des musiques du bout du monde (Canada), and Semaine internationale de la Francophonie (Colombia).

With 64, Naxx Bitota continues to amplify her commitment to human connection and cultural celebration. “Furah Yetu” stands out as a powerful invitation to dance, reflect, and unite.
