Veteran Ghanaian rapper Bright Martevi Tetteh, known to fans as Shortman or Too Short, has released his latest track “Unsinkable”—a song that reflects his resilience, longevity, and unshakable spirit in music.

Born in Takoradi on August 21, 1977, Shortman’s journey began at Chapel Hill School and St. John’s School in Sekondi, where his love for rap first took shape. By the late 1990s, his sharp lyricism and commanding delivery had already begun to turn heads. In 1998, he made his official entry into the Ghanaian music industry with the album “Slavery,” followed by “Awendzepa Kasa” in 2000, both of which cemented his reputation as a force in the rap scene.

As a founding member of the pioneering music group Sasssquad, alongside Scooby, Atsu Koliko, Sane Dog, and occasional collaborator Olasty Bingo, Shortman helped shape Ghana’s rap culture at the turn of the millennium. His style, rooted in authenticity and social commentary, continues to resonate with both longtime fans and new listeners.

With “Unsinkable”, Shortman reaffirms his enduring presence in the industry. The track speaks to perseverance and strength, embodying the spirit of an artist who refuses to be held back. It’s more than just music—it’s a declaration that his voice and legacy remain unshakable.

“Unsinkable” is available now on all major streaming platforms:
