Anima Nera Unleashes the Dark Power of Love in New Single “Dea”

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Anima Nera returns with Dea, a haunting and emotionally charged new single that dives deep into the most visceral side of love. Described as a sacred ritual teetering on the edge of madness, Dea captures a passion so consuming it borders on the toxic—a love that ignites and burns in the shadows, leaving behind both ecstasy and ruin.

Through electrifying rock instrumentation and poetic lyricism, the song tells the story of two lovers who lose themselves in each other, to the point of mutual obsession. It’s a tale of emotional surrender and painful beauty, where desire becomes both salvation and curse. Dea is not just a song—it’s a descent into the fire of totalizing love, where body and soul are offered in divine sacrifice.

Formed in 2013, Anima Nera consists of Massimiliano De Angeli (vocals and guitar), Stefano Speranza (lead guitar), Lorenzo Piva (drums and backing vocals), and Fabio Lanaro (bass and backing vocals). From the outset, the band committed to original music, blending rock with the Italian cantautore tradition to develop a style rich in raw energy, honest emotion, and lyrical depth.

Their past releases include the concept album Terzo Incomodo (2017), the introspective Amantide (2018), the sensual funk-rock single Musica (2022), and Dorian Gray (2023), a critique on modern identity. In 2024, Anima Nera signed with Universal Music Italy and released a series of poignant singles: Cani Randagi, Per Te, and Bambina—each offering unique reflections on society, memory, and human connection.

With Dea, which premieres today exclusively on TuttoRock, Anima Nera expands its intense and poetic universe. The single solidifies their reputation for crafting music that’s not only sonically gripping but emotionally fearless.
