Commander Hemp has released his latest single, “On the Way to the Show,” featuring Philly rapper Mosberg Banga. This track follows the success of his 14-song album earlier in 2025, which served as the original soundtrack for his eco-fiction-thriller novel Poaching the Poachers: The Key to GREED. Four of the album’s standout tracks collectively reached 1,000 international radio plays by mid-September through the Groover submission process.

“On the Way to the Show” was inspired by an early morning bus ride from Manhattan to Hoboken, New Jersey, where Commander Hemp envisioned the bassline and initial lyrics. Though he initially recorded the lead vocals himself, he chose Mosberg Banga to bring the lyrics to life with his distinct voice. The collaboration, recorded at Philadelphia’s Third Story Recording, showcases Commander Hemp’s signature blend of groovy basslines, tribal rhythms, and narrative-driven songwriting.

In addition to this release, Commander Hemp also dropped the single “Hola Bebé” this summer, with “Dancing Like Driftwood” set to release by the end of September. All tracks highlight his ability to fuse storytelling with infectious musicality, drawing from his experiences traveling to over thirty countries and turning life’s extraordinary moments into compelling sonic narratives.

“On the Way to the Show” will also feature on Commander Hemp’s forthcoming album, “Short Stories for Stoners,” which will accompany his upcoming comedy book of the same name. The track continues his tradition of crafting music that grips the psyche while delivering catchy, groove-driven rhythms.
