New Release

Ziller Bas & Kopow Unite On New EP Kuna Kuna

After years of moving through parallel creative paths, Kenyan rapper Ziller Bas and beatmaker Kopow finally converge on a shared vision with their new collaborative EP, Kuna Kuna.

Ziller Bas, known for his dynamic performances alongside artists like Flexfab and Shmu across festivals and stages in Europe and East Africa, meets Kopow, whose Kenya-inspired EP previously gained international attention, including recognition from Pan African Music. What began as a remote collaboration developed over a year ultimately came to life when the two artists met in France this summer to complete the project.

Kuna Kuna reimagines Kopow’s earlier work from Scratch The Surface, transforming its instrumentals into fully realized rap compositions. The EP blends electronic production with Afro-influenced textures and sharp lyricism, creating a sound that moves confidently between boom bap and drill.

Ziller Bas brings a commanding vocal presence that elevates the production into a bold and cohesive body of work. The result is a cross-cultural dialogue built on rhythm, experimentation, and shared intent.

Kuna Kuna stands as the first milestone in what promises to be an ongoing collaboration. The duo is already working toward a new album set for release in 2026, which will also feature rapper Miqi O.
