Apple Music has released its latest Isgubhu DJ Mix, featuring an exclusive mix from Johannesburg-born DJ and producer Rosey Gold, available exclusively on Apple Music from Friday, 4 September 2026.
Isgubhu continues to serve as Apple Music’s home for African dance music culture, spotlighting the producers, DJs and underground innovators shaping the continent’s club scenes. Each month, Isgubhu highlights the boundary-pushing sounds redefining Afro house, 3-step, gqom and electronic music across Africa.
Raised between Johannesburg and Dublin, with later chapters spent in London and Lisbon, Rosey Gold’s story is one of movement and cultural connection. Her experiences growing up between Africa and Europe have shaped a musical identity that reflects the meeting point of those worlds, drawing inspiration from African electronic music while embracing influences from across the global electronic landscape. She creates music that connects cultures and celebrates the diversity of the dance floor.
This year, Rosey Gold reached a career-defining milestone with her debut at Tomorrowland, performing on one of the festival’s first dedicated Afro House stages. She has also performed at some of electronic music’s most respected venues, including Hï Ibiza and Pacha Ibiza.
Rosey Gold’s exclusive Isgubhu DJ mix is an Afrocentric, upbeat, and feel-good journey inspired by the sounds of the African diaspora. Each track has been thoughtfully selected to celebrate the richness and diversity of the continent, bringing together artists and sounds from across Africa and the diaspora to tell their own part of the story of African electronic music.

Africa’s influence runs deeply through electronic music, from its rhythms and percussion to the sounds and traditions that continue to shape music around the world,” Rosey Gold tells Apple Music. “This mix celebrates that influence, bringing together artists and sounds from across the continent and diaspora, each telling their own part of the story of African electronic music.”
Featuring tracks from artists including Mpho.Wav, Manoo, Idd Aziz, Shimza and Tefo Foxx, the mix moves across the diverse landscape of African electronic music, bringing together sounds from across the continent and diaspora.
Rosey Gold believes the continued evolution of African dance and electronic music is increasingly being recognised on the global stage. “The fact that there was a dedicated Afro House stage at Tomorrowland for the first time in its history is a testament to how far the sound has come,” she says. “African dance and electronic music continues to evolve because it is constantly innovating, with new sounds, genres and artists emerging from across the continent. What excites me most is seeing these sounds move beyond being viewed as a trend and instead being recognised as an integral part of the global electronic music landscape.”
