Genre-fluid Afro-Fusion artist Skyy ZNO steps forward with “(Act I) JADE / EXITUS,” a sweeping cinematic composition that introduces listeners to the deeper world behind his forthcoming debut album, ExitUs. Blending African vocal traditions, contemporary global storytelling, and an expansive sonic palette, the track serves as an ancestral awakening centered on heritage, movement, survival, and collective identity.
Born in the United States and raised between cultures in the Dominican Republic, Skyy ZNO’s artistic identity has been shaped by a life lived across borders. His music reflects that experience, drawing from Afrobeats, Soul, Salsa, Dembow and Reggae while refusing to remain confined to a single genre.
“(Act I) JADE / EXITUS” takes this cross-cultural identity further, incorporating multiple African dialects, Yoruba chants and elements of regional oral tradition alongside spoken-word narrative. Phrases including “A se wa ni le way” and “Si ya vu ka ma way” anchor the composition in indigenous vocal performance while contributing to a larger story of diaspora, memory and an unbroken connection to African ancestry.

Skyy ZNO’s journey into music began at the age of seven when he recorded his first song for a school mathematics project. By fourteen, he had joined a music group and spent four years developing his performance instincts before beginning his solo career at eighteen. His growing catalogue has since gained traction across the Caribbean and United States, with breakout single “Ledge” surpassing 200,000 Spotify streams.
In 2024, Skyy ZNO and his father co-founded ZNOVerse Entertainment LLC, which now anchors his career through partnerships with SMN Records, Lightyear Entertainment and Virgin Music Group.
