Aiming to spotlight the next generation of African music, Le U and Akim Beats introduce the first volume of a collaborative project bringing together six tracks and six featured artists under one creative vision: discovering and showcasing the talents of tomorrow.
The project is spearheaded by Le U, who leads the artistic direction and features on every track, alongside Akim Beats, responsible for the production, mixing and mastering across the entire release. Together, they have created a platform designed to highlight promising artists while building a growing catalogue of music with lasting potential.
For its debut volume, the project focuses on Africa, connecting artists and sounds from across the continent, from the Maghreb to Ivory Coast, with Nigeria also represented. By bringing together different voices and creative perspectives, the release celebrates the diversity of African music while creating space for emerging talent to reach new audiences.
Beyond a single collection of songs, the initiative is designed to become an annual showcase for high-potential artists. Its broader ambition is to demonstrate the team’s ability to discover promising voices, develop meaningful collaborations and build a strong back catalogue of compelling music.
The project is already looking toward its next chapter. The second volume is scheduled for 2027 and will focus on the United States, drawing on the team’s established network of connections there. This international direction will expand the project’s reach while maintaining its core mission of discovering and supporting the artists shaping the future of music.
