The single “WAUTIN B’NAUTZ” offers us a fusion between the captivating rhythms of Amapiano, a popular musical genre from South Africa, and the Mandjak culture from Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. The traditional whistles of its cultural heritage serve as a backdrop to powerful words that highlight how education can open doors and transform lives.

“WAUTIN B’NAUTZ” is much more than a song, it is a call to celebrate the power of learning to shape a better future. Filmed in a primary school in Dakar, the visuals for “WAUTIN B’NAUTZ” energizes the themes keys to the song: education, intercultural knowledge, and personal development. The title of the single, inspired by a common expression of education Mandjak, literally means “Stop playing” and adds a touch of subtle humor to the whole composition, while the Dance movements are a living celebration of collective growth.

The single “WAUTIN B’NAUTZ” is the second extract from the EP “HOME” which will be released this fall. Recorded between Senegal and France, this EP was produced in collaboration with the renowned beatmakers PassaBeatz and JeussHitmaker. This new project for Poundo is a remarkable evolution of her identity as an artist.
