After a few weeks of its release AKA’s “Mass Country” album has officially been certified gold.
It’s only been a few weeks since its initial primal release and now AKA’s fourth studio album has already been certified gold.
The management of the late rapper’s label announced the news through social media Friday morning (10th March), just under a few weeks after the album’s initial release on 24th February.
In light of the news, Raphael Benza, the head of the South African record label, The Vth Season shared expressed his excitement about the news by writing:
“All love to The Megacy and the King of Music…#SupaMega #MassCountryGoesGold”.
In an interview with TshisaLIVE AKA’s business partner, Raphael Benza told the publication that a certified plaque would be presented soon after the album achieved more than 16 million streams.
“It’s a bittersweet moment to announce AKA latest musical masterpiece Mass Country is certified gold with more than 16 million streams. A certified plaque will be presented soon. This is no small task for a South African artist. Kiernan Forbes is definitely happy and looking down on us with joy that we all keep making his wishes come true,” he explained.
