Brooke Tamsin Clevenger turns an everyday phrase into the title of something far more personal with Thank You for Your Feedback (I). What began through Clevenger’s ongoing conversations with artificial intelligence became an exploration of how words can change meaning through repetition, especially when a phrase normally associated with automated responses starts to feel unexpectedly human.
The album moves through indie pop, dream pop and mellow electronic sounds, with the title track offering one of its gentlest moments. Soft vocals, relaxed production and a memorable melody give the song an inviting quality, while tracks such as “Echo Chamber (i),” “Signal Received (i)” and “The Curve of Clarity (i)” continue the album’s fascination with communication, repetition and the ways we respond to one another.
The idea behind the release came from Clevenger’s ongoing conversations with artificial intelligence. A phrase that initially felt routine began to carry different meanings depending on the situation. It could sound polite, distant, sincere or almost strangely affectionate. That uncertainty became part of the song, giving the familiar words a new emotional context.
Cognitive Constellation Corps is the creative project of Brooke Tamsin Clevenger, who writes, produces and develops the project’s overall artistic direction. Based in Belfast, Clevenger has been making electronic music since the mid 1990s and has built a catalogue centred on ideas of consciousness, identity, memory and human experience. The project has also attracted more than half a million plays on SoundCloud.
While artificial intelligence plays a role in the making of “Thank You for Your Feedback (I),” the release remains grounded in Clevenger’s songwriting and creative direction. Voices and other musical elements were explored with AI assisted tools before being selected and shaped into the finished songs.
What makes the album interesting is the way it takes something so ordinary and gives it room to mean something else. “Thank You for Your Feedback (I)” does not need to make a grand argument about technology. Instead, it finds emotion in a phrase most of us have heard without thinking twice, turning a piece of everyday language into a song about connection, distance, and what it means to be heard.
