Renowned vocalist and lyricist Echezona, in collaboration with composer and producer JPRiZM, proudly announce the release of their original album, “Ényì”. This album represents years of dedication and creative synergy, showcasing a diverse collection of songs that encapsulate a spectrum of emotions and storytelling.
“Ényì” is the result of several years of hard work, recorded at JPRiZM’s studio in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The album delves into the core of the human experience, touching on themes of love, community, and self-discovery. Each song is a heartfelt expression, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of African culture and the universal language of friendship.
“Ényì” offers listeners a unique and diverse musical experience, with each song carrying its own appeal. Tracks like “Amazing,” “Stick Around,” and “Wetin Dey Happen?” invite listeners to dance and feel good, while “Rare,” “Truthfully,” “High Time,” and “Flaws” offer moments of deep reflection. “Evolve” captures with its storytelling, and “Locked In” delivers a hip-hop surprise. The album showcases a fusion of styles that invites listeners to embark on a journey of introspection and celebration.
The word “ényì” means “friend” in the Igbo language of Nigeria. These nine records come straight from the heart, written to feel like a friend sitting next to you, sharing stories of raw honesty and openness. Through these songs, Echezona and JPRiZM aim to celebrate the strength and beauty of the everywoman, embrace the richness of African culture, and spark a sense of togetherness. At their core, these records carry themes of love, community, and making a difference in each other’s lives.

Before this album, Echezona and JPRiZM released a few singles together, beginning in 2020 with “Galileo” and ending in 2025 with “Make Up Your Mind.” They are pleased with the spectrum of music and storytelling that “Ényì” represents, believing there’s music to move and be enjoyed by everyone.
