This latest remix of ‘Kelewon’ feels both familiar and unique. Its allure comes from the captivating combination of J. Reeko’s Ghanaian vibe with AKtheKING’s Nigerian flair. It’s a battle of Ghana Jollof meets Nigerian Jollof all over again, but this time both are winners.

“I wanted to get the different cultures on ‘Kelewon’ to see the variation in sounds I can create,” says J. Reeko. “After featuring a Ghanaian star, it was only right to do a version with a Nigerian artist and tap into another world of vibes as the original performed great in the region. Shoutout to AKtheKING for not letting the fans down.”

‘Kelewon’ debuted on J. Reeko’s recent project, “Liquor & LoveSongz,” an 8-track EP that made waves in Africa, especially in Ghana and Nigeria. The song’s title is a play on the Nigerian slang “kele,” a word translating to “beautiful lady.” Likewise, the song is a refreshing twist on Southern Africa’s Amapiano genre and Western Africa’s Afropop–a mix that makes for an explosive listening experience.
