Kenwiza and Mvce Explore Emotion and Genre Fluidity on “How?”

Nigerian producer, songwriter, and sound engineer Kenwiza continues stepping into the spotlight with “How?”, a collaboration with rising artist Mvce that further expands his growing artistic vision ahead of his forthcoming EP Trips Vol. 1.

Known for his work across Afrobeats, alté, R&B, and genre-fluid pop, Kenwiza has quietly become one of the most exciting producers emerging from Africa. Born and raised in Port Harcourt and now based in Manchester, he first began creating beats in FL Studio during high school before fully committing to music production in 2019.

Since then, he has built a distinctive sonic identity defined by textured chords, synth-heavy basslines, intricate percussion, and the instantly recognizable “Wiza!” producer tag. His production credits already include collaborations with artists such as Victony, Falz, Victor Thompson, and Gunna.

With more than 300 million global streams attached to his catalog and Platinum-certified success through his contribution to Victor Thompson’s global hit “This Year (Blessings),” Kenwiza has established himself as both a technically gifted and emotionally intuitive producer.

Now, with “How?” and the upcoming Trips Vol. 1 project, he moves beyond production credits and further into artist world-building.

The forthcoming EP explores the complexities of love and emotional connection across four immersive tracks featuring rising voices including Mvce, Puppatiya, Jae Yo, and Doe Naju. Through the project, Kenwiza blends emotional depth with genre-fluid experimentation, creating music that feels culturally rooted while remaining globally aware.

At the heart of his artistry is a commitment to intention, emotion, and sonic detail — qualities that continue to separate him from many producers operating behind the scenes.

With “How?”, Kenwiza and Mvce deliver another glimpse into that evolving vision, reinforcing Kenwiza’s position as one of the new-generation African producers confidently shaping his own narrative from the front.
