Afropop superstar Mr Eazi returns today with the buoyant new single “Comfort” featuring viral Ghanaian-American artist MOLIY. The track was produced by Ragee, the Nigerian hitmaker whose recent hot run includes hits for Davido (“Unavailable”) and Ayra Starr (“Hot Body,” “Who’s Dat Girl”). The record also includes a feature from MOLIY, the breakout behind the 2025 song-of-the-summer “Shake It To The Max – FLY” (Remix) and critically acclaimed 2026 mixtape, BADDIES <3 MOLIY.
Ademola Falomo directed the ‘80s-inspired music video, a retro-futurist haze of telephone hotline commercial aesthetics, laser grid graphics, shopping-mall photo studio backdrops, and massive cellphones.
With its bouncy rhythm and bubbly bass synthesizer melody, “Comfort” is a natural continuation of Mr Eazi’s fusionistic Banku Music sound, sitting at the junction of afrobeats, dancehall, and R&B. “This is an updated version of my signature sound,” Mr Eazi says of the track, recorded during a stay this summer in London. “I’m making gyal dem music—sweet, easy, flattering gyal dem music.”
With 30M+ views and 60K+ uses of the teaser audio on TikTok registered before the track’s release, and viral traffic building across Instagram for weeks, “Comfort” is already shaping up to be a hit. The “Comfort” video premiered Wednesday on Revolt TV, while radio tastemakers including DJ Edu, CassKidd and Remi Burgz lined up to feature the track at BBC1Xtra ahead of its official release this week.
“Comfort” is the latest drop in a prolific run of new music from Mr Eazi in 2026. Other recent releases include a trio of singles with U.S.-based dancehall producer Dre Skull (“Lambo” featuring Vybz Kartel, “Hide Your Love,” “Remember That”), and See What We’ve Done, April’s collaborative LP with Ghanaian music star King Promise.
Expect more new music from Mr Eazi as he finishes the year with a run of fresh new singles.
