Nelida Oyma has released “Amber Feeling,” an instrumental electronic single that grew from a simple visual moment: an unusually orange sunset. That striking colour became the inspiration for a track built around a steady groove, layered guitars, Hammond organ and electronic rhythms.
The song opens with a straight drum pattern before the synth bass settles into its repeating rhythm. From there, the arrangement develops gradually, with Hammond organ, guitar chords and rhythmic guitar adding new layers without taking away from the central groove. The middle section opens up with melodic guitar and a change in the bass, before the track builds again towards its closing moments.
Created with dancing in mind, “Amber Feeling” keeps its focus on movement and rhythm while allowing the different instrumental parts to shape the track as it progresses. There are no vocals, with the instruments carrying the mood and direction from beginning to end.
The entire production was handled by Nelida Oyma in a home studio in France, where the track was written, recorded, mixed, and produced. Calyx Mastering completed the mastering.
