Omaha-based rapper Pflames is excited to announce the enhanced re-release of his acclaimed album, “The Joy Algorithm.” This new edition comes less than a year after the album’s original debut and will feature alternate versions of fan favourites, as well as a brand new bonus track. The re-release follows a successful test run on Bandcamp in April 2024, where it quickly captured the hearts of listeners and sold numerous physical copies and downloads.

“The Joy Algorithm” is a powerful, personal journey through grief, healing, and self-discovery. Pflames draws inspiration from musical legends like Prince, as well as his own life experiences, to create an album that explores themes of loss, success, and the resilience needed to keep moving forward. Through his music, Pflames pays tribute to the artists and moments that have shaped his path, inviting listeners to join him in finding meaning and hope even in the hardest times.

In Pflames’ own words: “It’s all about finding peace or joy within ourselves, no matter what we’re going through or dealing with. It’s about actively seeking and creating joy within your own existence… You have to work at it and nurture it to find that algorithm.”

“The Joy Algorithm” blends soulful melodies, introspective lyrics, and a fusion of genres that reflect the complexity of real emotions. From the raw weight of loss to the quiet hope that follows, each track is a step in Pflames’ process of healing and growth. The album is a soundtrack for anyone who’s ever had to start over, searched for light in the darkness, or tried to make sense of life’s ups and downs.

Popular singles like the introspective “What If” and the jazzy, old-school anthem “Turn Me Round” have already resonated with fans who appreciate rap with substance and style. The album’s honest storytelling and rich musical influences have helped deepen the connection between Pflames and his audience, both through live performances and engaging music videos.

With the re-release of “The Joy Algorithm”, Pflames is planning to take his music to new heights. He aims to elevate his live shows by performing with a full band, creating a richer and more dynamic experience for fans. Upcoming plans also include hosting intimate Tiny Desk-style concerts and embarking on an album tour to bring the message and music of “The Joy Algorithm” to both new listeners and longtime supporters.
