The Ibadan-born Nigerian musician grew up in 2 worlds, having close family ties in the UK and spending a number of years soaking up Afrobeats in Nigeria. This helped shape his song approach to making music. On the 2-track project, Pheropizzle shows his versatility. He reaffirms his unconditional love for his love interest on ‘Chokehold’ and follows through with a refined and unique sound on ‘Jaiye lo’ where he blends Afrobeats and hip-hop.
Pheropizzle’s eccentric and divergent style combined with a wicked pen game makes him impossible to ignore. Although just a handful, the 19-year old’s music has been spotted in big music charts and has been featured in major music platforms in and outside of Africa many of which refer to him as one of Nigeria’s rising stars. One of his previous releases ‘No Cap’, featuring Kagedimes, peaked at number 6 on the iTunes top ten songs chart in Nigeria and peaked at number 2 on the iTunes world music category.
Co-signed by a number of top Nigerian heavyweights like Naira Marley, Pheropizzle continues to strive for greatness whiles maintaining and growing a cult fanbase and following across social media. Pizzlemovement is the name he coined for his army of fans supporting his craft.
