South African singer Rethabile Khumalo finally releases her much anticipated song with Master KG titled “Ntyilo Ntyilo”.
“Ntyilo Ntyilo” was released on Friday, following the release of her debut album, Like Mother Like Daughter, which she released on her 25th birthday on September 9.
When it comes to hits Limpopo native, Master KG knows a few things he has after all created a global hit Jerusalem with vocalist Nomcebo Zikode.
A fitting name for her album as Rethabile looks up to her mother singer Winnie Khumalo, who she has watched survive the music industry.
“I’m so lucky to have Winnie Khumalo as my mother because I have someone who understands the journey an artist takes and the ups and downs of the journey. I have watched her go through ups and downs in her career and survive them, that’s how I know I can, and I will too,” she told TshisaLIVE.
In a conversation with Daily Sun, Rethabile revealed Her new single with Master KG. was inspired by her own story.
“This song is about a young girl who’s having a hard time with her relationship, so she asks for advice from her parents. This is because she doesn’t know what else to do or who else to ask because it’s difficult for her,” she told the publication.
