Followed by the release of her debut single Bruce Wayne and an official video, Rukmani returns with a new offering titled Satori, a single she composed earlier this year with production assistance from Maestro Eddie.
With the increased popularity of the Amapiano sound, Rukmani pays homage to the Afrobeat sub-genre with ‘Satori’, a song that reaffirms an awakening in her as she progresses through life amidst the good and bad thrown into places to birth forth a force which is ‘Rukmani’.
This song highlights the balance in Rukmani’s life, written in a witty artistic way but with heartfelt affirmations and realizations. She makes reference to that in the song with lyrics like “and i know that i make mistakes, i acknowledge them today and let it go, its part of growth,
“Cause I’m a fighter, a lover, a friend and more”.
Satori – Meaning instant awakening; is definitely a party starter, especially with its ability to create an ambiance of elation and expression, coupled with lyrics that enhance a ‘hair down’ experience. One can best characterize Satori as fresh, sizzling, groovy, elevating, and enlightening.
