Vietnamese singer-songwriter and cultural icon Sơn Tùng M-TP expands his global reach with “Come My Way,” a new single featuring multi-platinum American rapper Tyga and produced by Grammy-nominated Nigerian producer and tastemaker Marvey Muzique.
The collaboration brings together three distinct musical worlds, connecting Vietnamese pop, Afrobeats, and West Coast hip-hop in a record that feels both internationally ambitious and deeply rooted in identity.
At the centre of “Come My Way” is Sơn Tùng M-TP, whose sleek melodies, charismatic delivery and instinct for memorable songwriting guide the track. The song continues his long-standing mission to carry Vietnamese music and culture to a wider global audience, while allowing him to explore a fresh Afrobeats-driven sound without losing the cultural character that has defined his career.
Subtle elements inspired by Vietnamese folk music are woven into Marvey Muzique’s rhythmic Afrobeats production, creating a vibrant foundation that supports Sơn Tùng M-TP’s melodic performance while giving the record its cross-cultural energy.
Tyga’s appearance adds another major international dimension to the single. He brings his signature confident West Coast flow to the record, complementing Sơn Tùng M-TP’s smooth vocal approach and strengthening the connection between Asian and American popular music.
The collaboration also carries a personal cultural significance for Tyga, who has Vietnamese roots through his mother’s family. His connection to Vietnam adds another layer of authenticity to a record built around cultural pride, shared heritage and global collaboration.
Together, Sơn Tùng M-TP and Tyga create a natural meeting point between V-pop and hip-hop, while Marvey Muzique’s production connects both artists through the rhythmic language of Afrobeats.
More than a conventional international feature, “Come My Way” represents another important step in Sơn Tùng M-TP’s journey to position Vietnamese music on the global stage.
