Who would be breaking the internet on the 4th of July with the newly announced theme for the Durban July 2020 theme.
Taking to Instagram, the organizers said the theme will be “Butterflies”.
“Africa’s greatest horseracing event is just 5 months away and today we’ve announced the theme for the day… B U T T E R F L I E S.”
Meanwhile, the likes of Somizi, Zodwa Wabantu and Boity trended on social media last year as regards their outfits for the Durban July 2019.
Watch out for who’s going to nail the theme this year
“There was one thing that really stood out for me at the 2019 Vodacom Durban July and that was the predominance of brightly coloured outfits,” said Ken Tweddell, Gold Circle’s Event Marketing Manager, responsible for coming up with the theme for the Vodacom Durban July each year.
“The hunt for an idea began, and unusually it happened a day or two after the race day,” he said.
“Butterflies of excitement in the stomach for the racing folk. The social butterflies of the fashion stakes. The variety of bright colours and patterns of butterflies”, explained Tweddell. “The theme was born!”
