Nigerian music star Patrick Okoye, popularly known as Patoranking, has been listed by UNICEF to join the remake of Bob Marley’s hit record titled “One Love”.
The ‘Different’ hit maker will join other global superstars for the remake of the 1977 classic.
Patoranking shared the good news with his fans and followers on his social media pages.
The global project, which is sponsored by the United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF), will raise funds to support children in developing countries, where help is urgently needed.
In a statement announcing Patoranking’s selection, UNICEF said the Nigerian’s unique blend of African music and Reggae/Dancehall has earned him a place in music history.
“His sound is distinct and easily recognisable in modern African music,” the statement read.
Patoranking shared a video of the original song on his Instagram page and indicated that it is an honour to join others for the remake.
