According to reports circulating on social media, the “Africa Unite Concert” which had Burna Boy and South African rapper Kwesta as headliners has been canceled.
After several protests from South Africans against Nigerian artiste Burna Boy after his comments about xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, organizers of the event have decided to drop the African Giant and subsequently cancel the event.
A Nigerian facts checking account on Twitter @AfricaFactsZone shared this news with an email and an sms from unknown sources.
The account tweeted:
“Burna Boy has been dropped from the Africans Unite concerts that were scheduled to hold in South Africa. The events as a whole have also been canceled.”
Even though this information has not been confirmed by Burna Boy or his team, South Africans on social media have begun to rejoice at the news.
