“Sugarcane”, on Monday (February 14), peaked at number 1 on apple music’s top 100 Ghana. The song has garnered a total number of 6 million streams across major digital platforms since its release.
The song, which was released in 2021 to a thunderous reaction from fans around the country, continues to reign supreme on notable charts and social media. It crossed continental borders after it sparked a TikTok trend with over 180 million views as a result of it being shared multiple times on the platform.
The song is set to have a follow-up remix soon featuring Ghana’s King Promise and a top Nigerian act yet to be announced. King promise shared a preview of the remix on his Insta stories a week ago getting fans excited and pumped up for the remix.
