Ckay Bags BRIT Awards 2022 Nomination 

Nominees for the 2022 BRIT Awards have been announced ahead of the main ceremony at the O2 Arena in London on 8 February.
The BRITs is the British Phonographic Industry’s annual celebration of popular music This year’s edition will award musical feats across 13 categories.

CKay with the help of his global smash hit single “Love Nwantiti” bagged a nomination for the 2022 edition of the BRITs, He’s been nominated alongside other big acts like The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, and Drake are among the other nominees in the same category for Best International Song.

“Love Nwantiti” was released in 2019. It went viral on TikTok in 2021 and became an international smash, charting in Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as reaching number 23 in the UK and earning him his first Billboard Hot 100 entry.

At last year’s ceremony, British rapper of Gambian descent J Hus won the Male Solo Artist trophy, edging fellow artists AJ Tracey, Headie One, Joel Corry, and Yungblud to win his first BRIT Award.

The 2022 BRIT Awards will be hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan.
