Fireboy DML’s ‘Peru Remix’ featuring the British music star, Ed Sheeran has become the number 1 song on the UK Apple Music Top Songs All Charts and also the first afrobeats song to top the UK apple music charts.
Before the release of this remix, Ed Sheeran revealed how impressed he was with ‘Peru’ and said he had the song on repeat for a week nonstop.
“It’s addictive, and I’m obsessed with it. I mean, Cherry will tell you, I’ve had this song on repeat constantly in the house for the last week.”
The record currently tops ‘Easy On Me’ by Adele.
This comes after the record has been making waves across the world: it currently sits at No. 6 on the UK Singles Charts. It has also been charted on the Rhythmic Radio Charts in the US. Its video currently has 20M views on YouTube.
The song, which was produced by Shizzi, was part of Fireboy’s upcoming album, the singer revealed during its release, the album is set for release later in 2022.
