FREDRYD Brings Opposites Together on Electronic Pop Single “The Sun And The Moon”

Daytime adventures and spontaneous nights out meet at the heart of “The Sun And The Moon,” the latest single from Swedish producer and FREDRYD. Blending electronic pop with EDM influences, the track explores how people with different backgrounds and perspectives can connect, have fun, and find common ground. The release also carries a romantic storyline, brought to life in a cinematic music video following an engaged couple who spontaneously head out for a night together.

The title draws on the relationship between the sun and the moon, two contrasting forces that share the same world. Fred also connects this idea to the concept of yin and yang, suggesting that differences do not have to keep people apart. Whether the contrast is between day and night or between people from different social backgrounds, the song centres on the possibility of getting along despite what sets us apart.

That message reflects Fred’s wider approach to music. A former dancer, he describes himself as an optimist and feminist whose work brings together life enjoyment, girl power, social connection and reconnection. He aims to create music that encourages people to come together, understand one another and make a positive difference in their communities.

The production of “The Sun And The Moon” draws inspiration from the electronic energy of Galantis’ “Runaway (U & I)” and David Guetta and Zara Larsson’s “On My Love.” Fred recalls listening to both songs while developing his own track, eventually finding a licensed beat on BandLab that suited the production and vocals. The result brings his influences into an electronic pop and EDM setting shaped around the song’s message of connection and shared enjoyment.

The accompanying cinematic music video gives the song a more personal storyline. It follows a girl and a boy who decide to go out spontaneously for a romantic night, translating the track’s themes of enjoyment and connection into a visual narrative. Their evening provides a glimpse of how an ordinary decision to spend time together can become a meaningful shared experience.

Fred’s path into electronic music began in 2023, when he started making music on BandLab after he attempted to establish himself as a singing artist did not work out. He released his experimental debut album, Love Is What We Need, in May 2024, followed by The Way To The Good Life in June 2025, which helped consolidate his place in electronic music.

He has also released three singles through LFTD Global and LVLD Music: “Can We Stop Be Estranged To Each Other?”, “I See You Shining” and “Let The Girl Have Her Fun.” His musical influences include Avicii, Zara Larsson, Ed Sheeran, Juliander and Phil Collins, alongside internationally recognised DJs.

“The Sun And The Moon” is the final single from Fred’s upcoming album, bringing his focus on optimism, romance and social connection into one last release ahead of the full project. With its electronic pop sound and cinematic love story, the track reflects his belief that music can bring people together, even when their lives and perspectives appear worlds apart.
