What if the person you had dreamed about your entire life was waiting for you on the moon? Patrick Doval explores that question in “Rocket To The Moon,” a new single featuring drummer Pete Parada, formerly of The Offspring. Blending rock energy with cinematic storytelling, the track follows an imaginative search for love that takes an unexpected turn beyond Earth.
At the centre of the song is a surreal science fiction romance. In the accompanying music video, Doval builds a rocket and sets off for the moon, where he encounters a mysterious robot. An unexpected connection develops between them, and he falls in love with her before bringing her back on his journey home. But the story leaves one question hanging: does she make it back to Earth?
The premise gives “Rocket To The Moon” room to explore escape, discovery and the desire to find someone who feels as though they have been part of your life long before you meet them. By placing a love story in an imagined setting beyond the familiar world, Doval connects romantic longing with the possibilities of science fiction. The result is a tale about searching for the seemingly impossible, finding love in an unexpected place and taking a chance on something beyond your imagination.
The release continues Doval’s work as an independent rock artist, songwriter, recording artist and filmmaker. His music combines emotion driven songwriting, rock instrumentation and cinematic soundscapes, while his visual work gives his songs another dimension. With more than 25 music videos created to date, he has developed a strong interest in telling stories that extend beyond the music itself.
“Rocket To The Moon” also continues his collaboration with Pete Parada, the acclaimed drummer formerly of The Offspring. Doval has released six albums and numerous singles, building a catalogue shaped by rock, personal expression and visual imagination.
His work has received coverage in Screamer Magazine, while his song “Crush” is set to feature in the end credits of the upcoming film Wounds, directed by Ron Krauss and starring Jack Kilmer, Paris Jackson and Eric Roberts.
With “Rocket To The Moon,” Patrick Doval brings together music and filmmaking in a story that pairs the scale of a space adventure with the vulnerability of searching for love. Its mysterious ending leaves the audience with an unanswered question, inviting listeners to follow the story beyond the final scene.
