Rema’s global hit song ‘Calm Down’ has surpassed 1 billion streams across all platforms since its release. He made this known during his performance in the UK at the 02 Brixton Arena on Monday, 7th November. Rema during one of his performances got emotional on stage seeing his fans sing most of his songs word for word and love being shown to him.
‘Calm Down’ was released as one of the lead singles off His debut album ‘Raves & Roses’ back in 2021, the song took off immediately after its release with the official music video hitting 100 million views barely 3 months after it came out and currently sits at 238 million views on youtube.
‘Calm Down’ with its massive popularity and wide acceptance also went to the top international charts and has garnered over 173 million streams on Spotify and tens of millions on Audiomack and Boomplay.
Rema decided to serve his fans with an unexpected international remix with American Pop star Selena Gomez which has since contributed immensely towards the success and popularity of the song with rema making his debut on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at NO. 74 and peaking at NO. 16 on the UK Official Singles Chart. The remix has also amassed over 141 million streams on Spotify.
